Legends of Kaliedar

Character Creation

 

Before starting the character creation, I recommend you to download the character sheet. You will only needs to complete it before sending it back to me. For those who already knows the FFRPG rules, you will notice that I used stuff from different versions for Kaliedar, ranging from the 1st to the upcoming 3rd Edition. I think I took the best of everything.

Step 1 : Determine Race

            Take a look at the 18 races actually available in Kaliedar and choose the one you want for your character.

 

Step 2 : Determine Attribute Stats

            You have 36 points to distribute between the 6 Attribute Stats : Strengh, Vitality, Agility, Speed, Magic, Spirit. You must respect your

racial maximums, and don’t forget that powers have requirements, so try to have your stats high enough to buy the powers you want for

your character.

 

Step 3 : Determine Secondary Stats

            Here are how to determine the 4 secondary stats : Hit%, Magic%, Defense. M.Defense.

           

            Hit% =            80 + Agility + Speed

            Magic% =      80 + Magic

            Defense =      Agility + Speed

            M.Defense = Magic + Spirit

 

NOTE : Until the end of the creation, you have 50 points to spend. Be careful not to use more points.

 

Step 4 : HP and MP

Use the following table to determine HP/MP dice. The dice total may not exceed 16. For example, if you want d12 for HP, you will not be allowed to take more than d4 for MP, if you need any.

 

D4 : 4 Points

D6 : 6 Points

D8 : 8 Points

D10 : 10 Points

D12 : 12 Points

 

Now to determine starting HP :

                        10 + Vitality + Dice Roll

And to determine starting MP (if needed) :

                        10 + Spirit + Dice Roll

If you don't have MP dice you don't have any MP, don't calculate them

 

Step 5 : Buy Powers

Check the Starting Powers list to decide which abilities you wish to take. Be cautious, since many powers you might want to buy later will have requisites, so be sure to meet them. This list only includes the powers you can choose at creation, there are many others which you will be allowed to buy only later, when your character will have gained enough XP.

 

Step 6 : Choose Skills

Look at the Skills page to select the skills your character will need. Don't forget that some skill may be needed to perform some powers, like Steal or Jump. Every Creation point you use gives you 10% in any skill. No starting skill may exceed 80%.

 

Step 7 : Weapons

            Weapons cost is determined by it’s Hit Dice. For example a D10 Weapon would cost 10 points. Here are the 25 weapons actually

available, sorted by dice class :

 

D6 Weapons :

            Gloves, Knives, Rods.

D8 Weapons :

            Books, Boomerangs, Bows, Cards, Claws, Musical Instruments, Ninja Knives, Nunchakus, Pistols, Ribbons, Staves, Whips.

D10 Weapons :

            Crossbows, Katanas, Scythes, Swords.

D12 Weapons :

            Axes, Hammers, Polearms, Rifles, Swallows, Two-Handed Swords.

 

Step 8 : Advantages and Disadvantages

            I strongly suggest to start by disadvantages, since it will give you points back to use to buy advantages.  You may not buy more than 5 of

each.

 

Step 9 : Email the character application to the staff

            Please check your character once more to be sure that everything is alright, then copy & paste the sheet into a email to the staff. Please

don’t attach files.
